During Intersolar Europe 2025, Gonvarri Solar Steel (GSS), a maker of fixed-tilt structures and PV trackers, unveiled its latest 1P (one-in-portrait) tracker model, an upgraded version of its predecessor.
The company didn’t share many technical details about the displayed product in its press release. However, its website features the TracSmarT+1P tracker, released in January 2025.
Inferring from this model’s technical datasheet, we understand that it is available in single-row or dual-row configurations. Each row of the tracker, installed horizontally relative to the ground, is designed to rotate 1P configured modules along a single axis. The datasheet also says that the individual row of the 80-meter-long tracker can connect up to 2 strings, each with 30 modules. Its slew drive mechanism, driven by an integrated DC motor, enables a tracking range of 60° in either direction.
The dual row variant is designed to be erected over 26 piles. However, the total number of piles for its single-row models could not be inferred from the datasheet. Thanks to Gonvarri’s proprietary SmarTSlope function, both variants are adaptable to an undulated terrain of up to ±15° slope in the north-south setting.
Ana Díaz Rego, Business Development Manager Europe at Gonvarri Solar Steel, said, “We are constantly improving our product. This latest version is highly cost-effective not only in terms of assembly and maintenance but also in supply chain. Its ability to adapt to terrain conditions helps us reduce both CapEx and OpEx for our clients.”
