The team at NapLab conducted a survey of 1,012 Americans, revealing interesting gender differences in which body parts participants found most attractive. Research has already proven that men and women have different preferences in what they find attractive, but this study adds an interesting layer of geographical patterns.
We can see that nationally, men preferred body parts associated with fertility. Buttocks were most popular with 25.82% of men preferring them, followed by breasts, preferred by 20.60% of men. Women, however, are drawn to expressive features, with 26.10% preferring facial features and eyes close behind at 26.09%, with smiles coming in third at 17.39%.
We see interesting exceptions in state-by-state results. Women in Hawaii are most attracted to abs, breaking the national trend of women preferring faces. Texas and Utah women were surprisingly attracted to legs, while shoulders were popular in Georgia.
