On June 10, 2025, Avaada Electro, the solar manufacturing arm of Avaada Group, reported its official inclusion of the Butibori facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra, into the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). This list, updated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), includes 2 variants of the company’s latest ENLUME series Glass-to-Glass TOPCon modules.
Avaada says its Bitubori facility has an operating takt time of 16 seconds, which it attributes to its self-adaptive AI-integrated production lines and a smart energy management system. It aims to expand the factory’s nameplate capacity to up to 7 GW by next month.
The new products, which expanded the company’s existing ALMM-listed module portfolio, have both G12 and G12R size TOPCon cell variants.
G12 & G12R cell-based variant
According to the company’s datasheet, the AVN66G12G series Glass-to-Glass PV module, featuring 132 pieces of G12 half-cut TOPCon cells, boasts a power output and efficiency of up to 720 W and 23.18%, respectively. This 1,500 V DC operating system voltage-rated module has a maximum open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 49 V and short-circuit current (Isc) of 18.48 A. However, the AVN66G12RG series Glass-to-Glass PV module, equipped with 132 pieces of G12R half-cut TOPCon cells, can deliver up to 630 W power and 23.3% efficiency. The datasheet says that both the bifacial modules have a bifaciality factor (at lab scale) of up to 85%. Leveraging the TOPCon cell’s low temperature coefficient for Pmax compared to its PERC counterpart, these modules have a -0.30%/°C rated value.
Both the G12 and G12R cell-based modules are laminated with 2 mm-thick front and back glass. They measure 2,384 × 1,303 × 35 mm and 2,382 × 1,134 × 35 mm, respectively, and weigh 38 kg and 32 kg.
The company offers a product workmanship and linear power attenuation warranty of up to 12 and 30 years, respectively, for both models.
Shipment & Upscaling
Meanwhile, the company also commercially launched its BIS-certified n-type TOPCon solar modules in both 720 W and 630 W variants. Avaada stated that it is already shipping its 595 W, 600 W, and 605 W variant models from its operational Dadri facility, and the 720 W models from its Nagpur facility.
The company also stated that it is aiming to upscale its solar cell and module manufacturing capacity to up to 12 GW each by the next financial year.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman & Founder, Avaada Group, quoted “Our journey at Avaada Electro is rooted in innovation, scale, and sustainability. With ALMM certification of our Butibori plant and the commercial launch of our 720 Wp and 630 Wp N-type TOPCon modules, we are proud to lead India’s solar manufacturing revolution. Our AI-driven, energy-optimized, and fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem is a symbol of India’s industrial resilience and Avaada’s unwavering commitment to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
