The second power slot was represented by 2 products rated at 700 W at the beginning of 2024, namely Risen’s HJT module and Trinasolar’s TOPCon module. This category also saw only one change during the year and was claimed by a single product. Tongwei’s HJT module with 715 W, which shared the top position previously, was pushed to 2nd with the inclusion of Huasun’s 720 W product in August. Coincidentally, it immediately found a partner again when Trinasolar commercialized its high power TOPCon module with the same 700 W power rating in the same month. The pair remained the 2nd top power for the rest of the year. In 2023, the 2nd position was held by Akcome’s 690 W HJT module. At 3rd was the 695 W HJT module from Akcome at the beginning of 2024. However, the changes in the top 2 positions moved it to 3rd. Tongwei then pushed the Risen and Trinasolar duo Tongwei from 2nd place to 3rd in August. While this remained so for the next month, Grand Sunergy entered our listing for the first time with its 710 W HJT module in October, which continued at this level for the rest of the year. In 2023, the 3rd best power slot was also subjected to a few changes. EGing’s 685 W PERC module held this place till June. In July, however, EGing replaced this high-power module with a high-efficiency one, but with a lower power rating of 580 W. As a result,2 PERC modules, one each from Canadian Solar and Risen, were elevated to a shared 3rd position, but only for the months of July and August. With the introduction of Huasun’s 715 W module, Akcome’s 690 W HJT module slipped to the 3rd place in September, but the company also increased the power ratings for this product range in December 2023 to 695 W.The TaiyangNews TOP SOLAR MODULES 2024 Report summarizes the key findings from over 24 editions published during 2023 and 2024.
