Meta is bringing a new experience to Threads’ web version withcustomizable feeds stacked in columns.
This new interface is currently in testing, so anyone who’spart of the test will be able to add separate columns for things like their favouritesearches, tags, accounts, saved posts, and notifications.
This integration may sound very similar to TweetDeck thatwas originally launched as a third-party app to access Twitter (now X), lateracquired by X and some time after, turned into a paid service that is now called‘X Pro.’
Of course, you can opt out of Threads’ column interface andchoose to have a single feed if you want. If you choose to have multiple feeds, you can also control whether you want a column to update automatically with thelatest posts, as well as pin columns containing search results or posts from asingle user profile.
This new update has been released in response to feedbackfrom Threads users who complained about an algorithm-driven For You feed displayedevery time they opened Threads on the web. In order to have a real-timeFollowing feed, users have had to manually switch to it from beneath the mainThreads logo, both in the app and on the web.
In addition to the new Threads interface, Meta is also bringinga ‘recent tab for searches’ on Threads, where search results are displayed in chronologicalorder.
