当日，乘警李红名值乘G204次列车运行至青岛北至淄博区间，接综合指挥室电话报称，一名80多岁老人的家人求助，请求帮助寻找，后经与列车长一同寻找最终找到该名老人。攀谈中，老人的一席话却引起了民警警觉。
老人自称去北京“抖音总部”，声称其在电脑上刷抖音看到推送的信息，说他是“天选之子”，能当网红；老人还称，他之前所获荣誉对方都一清二楚，能领取到500多万元的奖金。为防止老人受到诈骗，乘警先和老人唠家常，并让他和儿子沟通，但老人始终对和儿子沟通十分抵触。几经努力，在乘警和列车工作人员以及北京南站派出所民警的合力说服下，老人最终同意乘车返回青岛。列车到达青岛站后，老人顺利与家人团聚。
公安民警提示，在中奖类骗局中，骗子往往以高额奖金作为诱饵，再利用各种借口索要费用，主要针对的就是老年人和防骗意识较为薄弱的人群，加上现在老年人与网络的接触越来越多，一些常见骗局在网上“改头换面”后，重新“作妖”，老年人一定要提高警惕。家属也要给予老年人必要的关心和帮助，向他们普及安全防范知识，守好他们的“钱袋子”。老年人如果受到不明身份人员骚扰，要及时告诉家人、邻里和社区工作人员，一起帮忙处理，或及时报警处理。
