Keanu Reeves gets an angelic makeover in the upcoming comedy Good Fortune.
Written and directed by Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation, Master of None) in his directorial debut, the film stars Reeves as Gabriel, a guardian angel. (Not to be confused with the angel Gabriel.) While you might think of these custodians as performing great deeds of life-changing kindness, Gabriel is more of a "budget guardian angel." He mostly just steps in to save people from texting and driving.
However, Gabriel finds an opportunity to make a meaningful impact when he crosses paths with lost soul Arj (Ansari), a down-on-his-luck gig worker. Arj spends much of his time in the service of wealthy jerks like tech bro Jeff (Seth Rogen), and as much as he hates them, he also yearns to live their lavish lifestyle.
Gabriel, sensing a chance to change Arj's life for the better, decides that in order to get Arj to appreciate his own existence, he should show him that Jeff's life isn't all it's cracked up to be. He swaps Jeff and Arj's places to teach his ward that money won't solve all his problems. There's just one issue: Arj quickly realizes that living like Jeff does, in fact, solve all his problems. Who could have seen that coming? Certainly not Gabriel.

In addition to Reeves, Ansari, and Rogen, Good Fortune also stars Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.
