Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL) is inviting consultancy services for end-to-end planning of identified government land, enough to host 34.3 GW of solar park capacity, to help achieve the state’s renewable energy targets.
This solar park capacity is spread across the districts of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Barmer. It would require close to 68,000 ha of land, but work will be carried out on 62,000 ha. The largest chunk of 12.5 GW is planned on 25,000 ha in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer.
RVUNL says that all the solar parks in the list are registered with the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL), which is the nodal agency.
The consultancy work will include designing the land bank, including the “KMZ” layout and associated work for the submission of a proposal for the allotment of suitable land to the revenue department for development of solar parks.
The winner will also assist RVUNL in expediting the land allotment process, retrieving land details from official records, and analyzing these to achieve a contiguous project site as feasible, including the identification of land parcels owned by private entities that may need to be procured or leased.
