Golden Solar’s Latest 0BB HJT Module At Intersolar 2025

金太阳公司进入异质结太阳能组件领域,推出基于210.6mm硅片的JGDN132模块,采用0BB设计和银涂层铜浆,效率达24.14%,功率750W。

Originally a materials science company, Golden Solar entered the heterojunction (HJT) solar module space in 2021, now producing both HJT cells and modules. 

In the current scenario, as industry pushes towards high-efficiency solar technologies, TOPCon remains a mainstream option with the majority market share. However, manufacturers are also investing in HJT technology but face some challenges to compete with TOPCon: metallization cost being the most crucial one. Solutions such as low silver consumption or silver-free options and zero busbar (0BB) cell design are key in reducing metallization costs (see Silver & Cost Dynamics In HJT Metallization). 

At Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich, Golden Solar exhibited its high-efficiency HJT module, the JGDN132. According to the company, the module is built using in-house HJT cells based on 210.6 mm wafers and features a 132 half-cut cell with 0BB configuration.  

For cell metallization, the company has employed stencil printing with silver-coated copper paste. This method utilizes mesh-free openings, enabling the paste to form a seamless pattern. Stencil printing enables finer finger lines with improved aspect ratios. 

Silver-coated copper paste, combined with a 0BB design, lowers total paste consumption and improves light absorption due to lower front-side shading. The 0BB cells are interconnected using a welding method, which the company describes as a stress-free method. This is a result of using a string wire that is neither pinched nor turned to connect the cells into a string. This stringing method is usually a common practice among BC module makers. 

Golden Solar claims a module efficiency of 24.14% and a maximum power output of 750 W. The commercialization information about this product or the roll-out plan is not yet available.
