UtmoLight’s perovskite projects selected for green building fund support
Perovskite manufacturer UtmoLight has announced that 2 of its projects have been included in Jiangsu Province’s 2025 Urban and Rural Development Special Fund (Green Building category).
The first project, the Perovskite Solar Cell Innovation R&D Center, is located within UtmoLight’s all-scenario green electricity campus and spans a total floor area of 13,240 m2. It integrates perovskite cells into curtain walls, corridors, and rooftops, aiming to explore efficient, scenario-based, and intelligent building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), with the company claiming to have saved the energy rate of 86.18%.
The second project to be selected is the Taihu Bay International Culture and Art Center and Symphony Hall in Wuxi, where UtmoLight has partnered with CSCEC 8th Bureau to deploy a perovskite solar tile system. This system combines quantum dot and low-reflection coating technologies, achieving a power conversion efficiency of 21.7% while providing both solar shading and architectural aesthetics.
In May, UtmoLight completed its first zero-carbon industrial park dedicated to perovskite photovoltaics in Wuxi (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
