I can sympathize with the CentOS community. I can say this because even though I’ve never used RHEL nor CentOS, I have over twenty years experience in Sun Microsystems Solaris. When OpenSolaris was initially released, I was happy as a clam. But when Oracle aquired SUN, OpenSolaris was dropped like a hot potato (or as Oracle would consider it as a ‘bad habit’. I still run OpenSolaris on my IBM tower pc. But for Linux, my preference is Slackware (no acquisitions involving that distro), & my server OS of choice is OpenBSD (best OS for security, IMO). I just wish the CentOS community the best in working around the shaft job Red Hat pulled on them.
