A subsidiary of Siemens AG since April 2019, KACO New Energy, promoted its latest innovations at the recently held Intersolar Europe 2025. During a short interview with Alexander Plonka, product lifecycle manager at the inverter company, highlighted its latest blueplanet 360 NX3 series 3-phase string inverter and blueplanet gridsave 92.0 - 137 TL3-S bidirectional battery inverters.

Suitable for utility-scale PV projects, this string inverter, featuring 6 MPPT channels of up to 75 A DC carrying capacity each, is compatible with high-efficiency bifacial PV modules. However, each MPPT channel with a voltage range of between 860 V and 1,300 V can connect up to 5 strings. With a DC/AC oversizing capability of up to 150%, this transformer-less 3-phase inverter supports a maximum DC input of 544 kW and can deliver up to 363 kVA of 3-phase AC power, with a phase current of up to 262 A in an 800 V (3-phase + PE) system.
Leveraging its 7th generation high efficiency IGBT power stack, this inverter offers a maximum efficiency of up to 99.01%, and a very late derating, noted the company.
To meet the stringent safety requirements of large-scale European on-grid PV installations, the unit includes a comprehensive suite of protective features. Notably, this latest product’s most advanced safety feature is its stringent cybersecurity, which restricts remote access to the inverter by any 3rd party. Following the shipment from the warehouse, for the protection of the utility scale plant data, KACO has very limited remote access to the inverter’s data compared to its market peers, emphasized by Plonka. On top of that, KACO has a strong collaboration with German monitoring partners with servers in Germany or Europe, which is in line with Europe’s Cybersecurity aspirations. Additionally, it is equipped with Type II surge protection devices (SPD) on both AC and DC sides to guard against lightning and external surge voltages. For the safety of personnel working on the grid line, this system is equipped with anti-islanding protection. On the DC side, this latest model always monitors the connected PV string’s health, along with detecting any reverse DC polarity, which minimizes installation and commissioning time. During a short-circuit on the AC side, it can automatically disconnect from the grid.
According to the company, this new inverter is expected to launch commercially in early 2026.
blueplanet gridsave 92.0 - 137 TL3-S
Addressing the shifting trend of preference for string bidirectional battery inverters compared to their centralized counterparts for utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), the company promoted its commercially available blueplanet gridSave 92.0 - 137 TL3-S series bidirectional battery inverter. Compatible with both AC and DC-coupled configurations, this inverter, featuring a single DC input of an operating voltage range of 1,002 V to 1,315 V, can carry input DC of up to 145 A.
