Evolving global trends, such as time-of-day (TOD) based grid tariffs, grid curtailments, and frequent outages, have significantly accelerated the demand for integrated PV-plus-battery energy storage systems (BESS) equipped with intelligent energy management system (EMS) platforms that enable smart energy distribution aligned with real-time consumption patterns, grid signals, and dynamic pricing models.
Adapting to these shifting dynamics, Solis is set to unveil its latest 125 kW hybrid inverter along with an intelligent AI-powered ‘Solis AI’ energy management system (EMS) at the upcoming Intersolar Europe 2025 exhibition.
Hybrid Inverter
According to the company, the S6-EH3P(75–125)K10-NV-YD-H series wall-mounted, 3-phase hybrid inverter – equipped with 10 independent MPPTs and supporting up to 20 individual PV string inputs – can deliver up to 125 kW of AC output power in on-grid mode. Its DC/AC oversizing capability of up to 200% and wide MPPT voltage range (150 V to 950 V) enable high energy yield from connected commercial rooftop PV arrays.
Compatible with a wide range of lithium-ion battery banks, the inverter features 2 battery ports and supports up to 200 A, or dual 100 A, charge/discharge current, making it suitable for high-capacity commercial energy storage applications. During grid failure or shutdown events, the inverter can switch to off-grid or backup mode in less than 10 ms and deliver up to 200% overload power for up to 200 ms, ensuring uninterrupted power to critical emergency loads.
In terms of safety and protection features, the inverter includes an integrated DC switch for manual disconnection and automatic DC reverse polarity detection to prevent damage from incorrect wiring. Its anti-islanding functionality ensures safety for utility workers during line maintenance. To protect against voltage surges – particularly those caused by lightning – the inverter comes equipped with surge protection devices (SPD) on both the AC and DC sides.
Additionally, upon request, the inverter can be integrated with an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) 2.0, which helps detect and mitigate potential fire risks associated with arc faults in PV arrays.
This hybrid system is scalable up to 600 kW through parallel operation of up to 6 units. Its built-in Energy Management System (EMS) intelligently controls battery charging and discharging following Time-of-Use (TOU) tariffs, optimizing energy cost savings for commercial users.
Solis AI
Alongside its new hybrid inverter, Solis will also introduce the latest version of Solis AI – an AI-powered intelligent EMS integrated into the SolisCloud platform. Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence, this smart EMS automates energy management processes without requiring technical input, significantly enhancing system efficiency.
Key energy management functions that can be automated include weather-based charging optimization, consumption pattern analysis, dynamic tariff response, and grid and regulatory compliance.
Jimmy Wang, President of Ginlong (Solis) Technologies, commented, “As we reflect on this incredible 20-year journey, I'm deeply grateful to our customers, partners, and the dedicated Solis team who've made it all possible.” He added, “Our success has always been driven by a shared vision, to make clean energy accessible, reliable, and transformative for everyone. Our solutions have helped family's lower energy costs, supported businesses in becoming more sustainable, and built connections that continue to inspire us. Intersolar Europe 2025 is a celebration of that journey — and an opportunity to showcase what's next, from the launch of the world's largest wall-mounted hybrid inverter to the debut of Solis AI. This is our most comprehensive exhibition in Europe to date, and it marks the beginning of an even brighter future.”
