Beyond traditional utility and commercial & industrial (C&I) uses, HJT bifacial PV modules are seeing increased demand in value-driven applications like agrivoltaics and vertical PV – areas that prioritize energy yield over minimizing LCOE.
In response to this trend, Anhui Huasun Energy Co., Ltd., a pioneer in HJT technology, will showcase its latest commercially available product portfolio alongside 2 brand-new HJT modules at Intersolar Europe 2025.
Commercially Available Products
Under its 0BB HJT cell-based portfolio, Huasun will present modules tailored for 2 categories: mainstream applications and special applications.
Mainstream Applications
Addressing the needs of multiple mainstream PV applications, such as utility, commercial & industrial (C&I), and distributed generation (DG), Huasun will highlight its Everest G12R series modules at the event.
For large-scale utility projects, the Everest G12R-132 series module, equipped with 132 G12R half-cut rectangular HJT cells, boasts a power output and efficiency of up to 669.1 W and 24.77%, respectively. Additionally, the bifaciality of up to 95%, attributable to the bifacial symmetrical structure of the HJT cell, makes it suitable for high-albedo environments, such as snowy or reflective surfaces. Sized at 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm and laminated with 2 mm-thick front and back glass, this module weighs 32 kg.
The next highlight under the Everest G12R series, the G12R-108 series module, equipped with 108 G12R half-cut rectangular HJT cells, can deliver a power output of up to 520 W and an efficiency of up to 23.4%. Dimensioned at 1,960 × 1,134 × 30 mm, this bifacial module, laminated with 2 mm-thick front and rear glass, weighing 27.4 kg, is suitable for distributed rooftop applications.
Regarding the residential rooftop application, Huasun will showcase its Everest G12R-96 series module, comprised of 96 G12R half-cut rectangular HJT cells. According to the company's datasheet, this module can deliver power output and efficiency of up to 465 W and 23.27%, respectively. Compared to its utility and C&I counterparts, this lighter module, weighing just 21.8 kg due to its smaller size (1,762 × 1,134 × 30 mm) and thinner 1.6 mm front and rear glass, is well-suited for low-load residential rooftop applications.
According to the company’s datasheet, all Everest G12R series modules – regardless of size or glass thickness – are certified to withstand maximum static loads of up to 5,400 Pa on the front side and 2,400 Pa on the rear. To reduce the risk of UVID degradation during long-term outdoor exposure, the modules incorporate a down-conversion film that shifts UV light to the blue spectrum, enhancing both power output and durability. Additionally, the use of PIB edge sealant improves moisture resistance and air impermeability compared to conventional designs. Huasun offers a product warranty of up to 15 years and a performance warranty of up to 30 years for the Everest G12R series.
Special Applications
To generate clean energy while preserving space for farming or livestock – a concept known as agrivoltaics – Huasun will promote its semi-transparent G12R-88 Agri-PV series module. Featuring 88 G12R half-cut rectangular cells, the module delivers up to 410 W of power and 15.2% efficiency. Its innovative design, laminated with 2 mm-thick front and rear glass, ensures uniform light transmittance of up to 32% to support agricultural lighting needs. It comes with a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty.
Beyond agrivoltaic applications, Huasun will introduce its latest Kunlun Series G12-132 module, designed for vertical PV installations. This HJT module, built with 132 G12 half-cells, offers a maximum power output of 720 W and an efficiency of 23.2%. Powered by HJT 3.0 technology, it features a zero-busbar (0BB) metallization architecture and delivers superior low-light performance compared to conventional modules, according to Huasun. In east-west vertical setups, it achieves high dual-peak generation at both dusk and dawn. The company says the module’s exceptionally high bifaciality, approaching 100%, further boosts energy yield. Engineered for long-term reliability in space-constrained or demanding environments, the glass-glass module also incorporates light-conversion film and butyl adhesive. It is backed by a 15-year product and 30-year performance warranty.
Looking ahead
The company, without disclosing any details, also stated that it will unveil 2 important innovations at the exhibition.
Jimmy Xu, Chairman and CEO of Huasun Energy, commented, “Intersolar Europe is where the global solar industry gathers to witness the future,”. He continued, “We are proud and confident to present solutions that not only solve today’s energy challenges, but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow’s energy landscape.”
