The Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) brings its annual Summit to London Feb. 27, bringing subject matter experts and member companies together to discuss the international approach to media and entertainment localization throughout the global supply chain.
With the theme “Where AI and Localization Converge,” the Summit brings together the European community to talk about key trends, challenges and the future for the localization industry. Hear from subject matter experts, academics, content creators, creatives and their service provider partners as they delve into a wide array of topics, including the role and future of AI across localization, the view from the creatives, the importance of accessibility and how we can better harness workflow efficiencies to help create greater transparency.
This year’s Summit is co-located with MIP London.
Two keynotes at the CDSA Summit London highlight the agenda:
The morning keynote presentation will be provided by Konstantin Dranch, founder of Custom.MT. A well-respected analyst and regular speaker at events, Konstantin developed the original UK Language Industry market study. He has a wealth of knowledge on large language models (LLMs) and always provides fascinating insights and statistics. He’s able to separate the facts from the hype around translation technologies.
His presentations are always lively, provide much food for thought and he is guaranteed to open the show with a bang.
For the afternoon keynote — “In Conversation with Channel 4 Around Their Accessibility Programming and Strategy” — CDSA is excited to host a conversation with two key executives from Channel 4, Rachel Yendoll, head of content management, and Jonathan Penny, access services manager. They will be talking with Caroline Baines, senior director at CDSA, about their access services and showcasing some of their recent programming.
Baines, who also runs CDSA’s Content Localisation Council, said: “The topic of access services has always been important to the Content Localisation Council and we are so thrilled to welcome Rachel and Jonathan and hear more about the work they are doing. Channel 4 has always been a pioneer for accessibility and with the introduction this year of the European Accessibility Act, CDSA is committed to providing a place for the industry to talk about how we can continue to strive to make content accessible to all.”
