Encavis’ delisting update: German renewable energy company Encavis says its management and supervisory boards recommend the acceptance of the Public Delisting Acquisition Offer by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). This, they say, is based on their respective independent review and detailed assessment of the offer document submitted by KKR in December 2024. If the deal goes through, Encavis will be delisted from both the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Hamburg Stock Exchange. KKR entered an investment agreement with Encavis in early 2024 to acquire the German company for €2.8 billion, offering a cash consideration of €17.50/share via its investment vehicle Elbe BidCo (see Europe Solar PV News Snippets). The acceptance period for the offer ends on January 31, 2025. €652 million in grants in Croatia: Croatia has set aside €651.8 million to be distributed as grants by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition in 2025, to be awarded via a competitive solicitation process. Of this, €526.8 million will be used from the European Union’s Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021-2027, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and the EU’s Modernisation Fund, according to the ministry. The remaining €125 million will be provided by the state-run Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (FZOEU). According to Balkan Green Energy News, €160 million is planned for renewable energy in public utilities and decarbonization of district heating.
