The highly anticipated Hong Kong Web3 Festival gets underway this weekend with a fireside chat between HashKey Capital’s CEO Deng Chao (DC), a leader in Web3 investing and one of the most prominent venture capitalists in the space, and Ark Invest’s CEO Cathie Wood, a Wall Street veteran of over 45 years with more than 30 years in portfolio management.

Scheduled for 9:45–10:15AM on April 6th, the opening day of the festival, this meeting of minds promises to be a highlight of the weekend, offering valuable insights into recent developments in the crypto market, industry innovation and regulation, the impact of blockchain on institutions, and further predictions for leading digital asset, bitcoin.

The four-day HK Web3 Festival, which takes place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, is expected to attract a global audience of blockchain enthusiasts, investors, and industry leaders. The panel featuring DC and Cathie Wood, two highly influential figures in the crypto investment space, has the potential to shed light on the evolving dynamics of the blockchain sector, particularly in Asia.

In addition to this marquee event, HashKey Capital will be well-represented throughout the Festival with several team members onstage. Their sessions include:

Day One (April 6): In addition to the Fireside Chat with Cathie Wood, the HashKey team will participate in two panel discussions — one from 16:50–17:30 titled “Unleashing the Power of Crypto ETFs: Riding the Innovation Wave in Hong Kong,” moderated by HashKey Capital Partner of Research and Liquid Funds Jupiter Zheng. The second, “Crypto Asset Investment: Balancing Safety with Convenience” will feature Michael Chen, Head of HashKey Wealth, from 16:10–16:50.Day Three (April 8): Jupiter Zheng will present a keynote speech on “Digital Asset Valuation Framework” from 13:00–13:30. This is followed by a keynote speech, “Managing Emotions: Trading in a Bull Market” by Mark Wong, Head of Trading at HashKey OTC from 13:30–14:00. Xiao Xiao, Partner at HashKey Capital, will also join an investor panel from 16:25–16:45.Day Four (April 9): Head of Investment Research Jeffery Hu will deliver a keynote speech on “Applications of Lightning Network” at 14:00–14:15, after which he will participate in a Panel Discussion entitled “Prospects for the Applications of Lightning Network” from 14:30–15:05.
