Drawing tablet manufacturing company Wacom has recentlyannounced its first OLED drawing tablet “Movink 13.” Walcom claims Movink isits thinnest and lightest portable display drawing tablet yet.

Movink is available for purchase on Wacom’s website, pricedat $750. It comes with a full HD 13.3-inch Samsung OLED display. As comparedto Wacom’s LED-based offerings, the OLED is more advantageous due to the absenceof a backlight, which results in lack of light leakage and excess heat. The OLEDdisplay also adds to a more compact form of the tablet.

When it comes to Movink’s weight, it is only 420 grams,which makes it 55% lighter than the Wacom One 13 touch, which is a similar size;and even lighter than Apple’s existing iPad Pro model that is almost the samethickness. Movink’s thickness ranges between 4–6.6mm, which is 66% thinner thanthe Wacom One 13 touch.

The tablet’s cable system is simple: a single USB-C to USB-Ccable that works for power as well as connectivity. It is also equipped with anadditional USB-C port, in case further power is required. Movink 13 featurestwo customizable built-in buttons, each on either side of the device, for functionslike toggling touch on and off.  

Movink offers a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, which accountsfor a wider color spectrum and a deeper black color. According to Wacom, the tabletprovides 100% DCI-P3 and 95% Adobe RGB coverage. 

The portable pen that Movink comes with is an exclusive versionof Wacom’s Pro Pen 3 stylus that exhibits a slimmer and more visible nib. Movinkalso supports other pen technologies, including Wacom’s Pro Pen 2 andthird-party pens from Dr. Grip Digital, Lamy, or Staedtler.

Wacom is the first drawing tablet manufacturer that hasreleased an OLED-based tablet, which makes the device a close competitor of Apple’supcoming OLED iPad Pro.
